Song was born in Gunsan, Korea in 1994. She spent her childhood in Seoul and soon after moved to the United States in 2004. She currently resides in New York. Song graduated from SUNY Purchase College in 2019. In 2018 she received a scholarship grant from Gordon Parks Foundation. With this opportunity she gave an artist talk in NYU Tisch in April 2019. In May 2019 she received the Outstanding Senior Award in the Photography department. Removing Oriental was up in the photography department building of Purchase College as well as The Richard and Dolly Maass Gallery in New York.
